The most motivating and deciding factor that propels us to lose weight is usually what we see that we dislike when looking in the mirror. But what about what we see when we pray to God about our inner-struggles?

I’m gonna to tell you why this happens. It’s because of self-approval or disapproval. I do know for sure that whenever I saw a distorted shape staring back at me in the reflection of glass I was quick to think negative self-statements because of my shape. “I noticed my poor posture, and never had thoughts of feeling good about myself. I always wanted to improve to stupid reasons like getting approval from the people I worked for or that I wouldn’t get hired for a job because of my appearance. 

When i was young and struggling with overeating I was never happy. I wanted to look pretty like my friends and have a lot of friends like they did. I wanted to be comfortable in a social setting not feel like everybody was staring at me and thinking of all the things that I thought were wrong with me. And the only way I thought I could ever feel happy, was if I was happy with the outside of myself and I really wasn’t thinking about what was going on inside. 

Could some of you who are reading this blog have felt like me at some point in your life? Well maybe it happened in your life but for very different reasons. 

​We might be strong enough to put aside my favorite binge eating foods for a while but most of us have allowed food to have the most important place in our life. If I don’t put God as being the center of my life things become more difficult. In fact, i’d find myself back in a place where I was before finding it impossible
to think that my life could change for the better.
