Scriptures on healing the mind
Healing begins in our mind and this needs to take place in ways we don’t expect and faith is what expedites this process. Our Conquer Cravings For Christians members believe in physical, mental, and spiritual healing from eating food that’s addictive. As we walk through our mindset lessons we have discovered individually, many mindset traps that have kept us bound and we seek deliverance through God’s divine power.
I remember how my heart was hurting deep down inside during my early years of childhood. I often heard whispers like, she’s so cute if only she could lose 25 lbs. Those words among many scared my brain. It continued later on in life when hearing such words and many of them were just my own negative thoughts of myself. I’m sure if you are reading this, you too have experienced hearing hurtful words and have had imaginary thoughts that created unhealthy images of yourself. What I did find out was that God loved me just the way I was and he loves you too! Bible verses for comfort and healing
Healing begins when we truly understand that God created each of us to be unique, each our own way. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. —PSALM 139:14
For those of us who have turned to food for comfort, we made the choice to shut the opened door to the ONLY one who will assist us in this healing process. Our thought process has painted images of poor body images, thoughts of inferiority as well as thoughts of being enticed with food. Unfortunately we crave foods way too much that have robbed us of our inner-peace way too long. We fall into overeating, eating after dinner and indulging on weekends as we let our loved ones lure us into unwanted eating habits. In James 1:13 we read 13 When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14 but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. 15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. Let us seek LIFE, from the father of life and the healer of our soul. Healing scriptures
Praying healing scriptures offers supernatural help from heaven itself and renews our mind when we spend time reading or studying Bible verses about healing. We need to practice praying God’s word daily and to make the decision to completely surrender the food that is controlling our life. Obedience brings about breakthroughs.
Surrendering our heart to God and calling upon his presence will strengthen your faith. 5 And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. 6 And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you. God calls us into fellowship through prayer and the power we receive is through his word for those who incorporate healing scriptures while praying. During this time we are in fellowship with the king of the universe and he sees our desperation to live a life of health and health in abundance. It doesn’t come easy and it doesn’t come all at once for most of us but he does promise healing. Psalm 107:20 – He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction. (KJV) 20 He sent out His word, and it healed, and from their corruptions it freed! (Fenton) 
The more comfort and healing ~ the more strength from food temptation 
Bible verses for comfort and healingJohn 14: 15-18 5 If ye love me, keep my commandments.16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever;17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Ephesians 3:16 16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; The Holy Spirit strengthens us, comforts us, counsels us, guides us and teaches us how to pray. God’s Holy Spirit power is actually praying through us. God is healing! Situations, circumstances and conditions are ALL subject to change. So why not give God a chance and close the door to food temptation by letting food once again have its way and let your unwanted thoughts lead you into the path of destruction. God’s words of life will enable each one of us to become established into the image of healing in our mind, body and spirit as long as we commit to focusing on the victory that is waiting for us through the leadership of our Lord and king, Jesus Christ.
So, when you're feeling weak around food and you feel like you're stuck binge eating, you can actually be stronger in him than you ever could have been in yourself. Don't look at the things that you can't do naturally and assume that you can't do them with God. Truth is, you can do whatever you need to do with God. God will strengthen you. For example: Instead of just saying, "I can't stand this, God. You gotta get rid of... I can't do this anymore". Say, "God, if this is where you've got me and this is what you want me to do, and I don't believe that you want me to be unhappy in this place". Ask God to lead you through healing scriptures so that your mind and spirit line up with God’s word.
When it comes right down to it, all it’s gonna take is an attitude adjustment and waiting for the Holy Spirit to anoint us. Wow, whew. Have you ever heard that word, "Anoint"? You know, there's a large majority of the church worldwide that never hears that word. Well, Christ is the anointed one and the Holy Spirit anoints us for whatever God wants us to do. And so, when you're anointed to do something, you're given a special grace, a special ability, a special power to do it and to do it with ease. Come on now. To anoint, to be anointed.
The Word of God will accomplish what it was sent out to do
Isaiah 55:11 – The Word of God will accomplish what it was sent out to do. The Word itself contains the power to produce what it says. Just as when God said, “Let there be light” and there was light, healing Scriptures contain within them the capacity to produce healing. Bible verses on healing

Dear Father in heaven, I believe healing is in me. Thou hast healed me. I don’t consider what I feel and I break off any thoughts of doubt and old ways of thinking. My mind, my will and my emotions are changing. Mindset traps are gone and I believe I am healed. Thou hast healed me. Thank you for my healing.
