Healthy Snack Recipe To Stop Sugar Cravings

Did you know that it is better for us to have healthy snacks between meals? The reason is we want to keep our blood sugar levels even so we don't find ourselves with an appetite that is craving too much food. Healthy snacks will also help us to have more energy throughout the day.
Here is a snack I eat almost everyday. You can buy hummus or make it yourself in a blender or food processor. Hummus is made from beans which are a high quality carbohydrate rich in fiber and is scientifically proven to stop sugar cravings. You can add fresh herbs for added robust flavor like chopped basil, chives, or celantro just to name a few.  
I love the cucumber hummus bites for afternoon snacks or early evening. i generally buy up to 3 long english cucumbers a week. When I know I will be away from the house for 4 or more hours I always pack a tupperware container with 1/3 cup hummus and a dozen or more cucumber slices. This is so quick and easy to prepare. For added satisfaction include up to 12 raw almonds and you are sure to crush your cravings for sugar.  
TIP: 
If you have been avoiding eating beans because of the gas like I use to try this:
add 1-2 tsp apple cider vinegar to 1 cup water and sweetened with 3 dashes of stevia. Drink 15 minutes before eating beans. 

Forget the junk food and enjoy eating optimal food created by God, cause God doesn't make junk! I love you.
