I'm here to share with you this one thought. The fact that you are here tells me you will agree that we all have a hard time keeping the weight off after losing weight. We do good and get back on track for a little while be it a few days, few weeks, or months and sooner or later we fall into temptation eating our favorite junk food. We have everyday challenges that get in our way and soon we dwell on negative thoughts that ROCK our emotions. We end up with a care-less attitude and you heard me right, a care LESS attitude which is the root of us falling into binge eating. Losing weight gets tough because we think of foods that we crave and we feel discouraged after so long. Right?
So the question is, does it ever get better? The answer is yes, it does get better.
It does not take years, but it takes doing what I am about to stress about in order for your mind to shift!
Listen carefully, we have such an advantage as Christians in knowing we can turn to the bible because God has blessed us with powerful spiritual gifts. God wants to deliver benefits to you and I but ,how do we tap into right thinking? How do we tap into positive thinking so that all these negative thoughts and emotions finally begin to diminish? Does this ever get better and things get easier? I am here to teach you three (3) weight loss tips you can start doing right now.
These 3 weight loss tips I do exactly and I have been doing for years. I am confident that once you know that just if the only thing you do is to keep looking at the food and your body and not applying your faith to get before God in prayer you will just keep spinning your wheels. So start thinking deeply by looking at the internal things through the wisdom of God.
These tips for losing weight show you how to go about getting a stronger mindset. In addition, DO NOT overlook the opportunity to join the facebook group. Join other women of faith as we get together to discuss tips to lose weight to encourage one another.
Ok, so you are probably wondering why I'm so passionate and here is my story of my struggles with food. It all started very young, in fact it was so young from the get-go when I was born a 12 lb baby. It was common for me to hear from loved one’s as a cute thing, little Renee was born baby elephant, that affected my self-image even as a toddler. I spent overeating which caused me to spend much time in a state of isolation. I felt alone, I felt ugly and I felt rejected. I was deeply hurt and confused and in that confusion I'll tell you this, I just couldn't come out of my shell. I was very very sad, mentally crippled, in fact I was so sad at age 12 that I wanted to in my life.
So before I go further I need to explain that my mind was wavering, I was tired of looking at myself and feeling awful. I felt like no one would ever understand me and that I could not fit in anywhere. I needed people’s approval or I felt self-pity. I was always craving junk food especially after dinner and here's the thing, I did not know why!
So I kept going back and forth from day-to-day frustration some of you can identify. It can get very frustrating and we just don't know where to turn. So here's a question, do you know why you want to neglect your body? Do we feel pain and emptiness? I was stuck in a negative mindset and for me it could be from being rejected. For many adults it could be due to bad relationships and your dreams felt shattered. There could be multiple reasons, like oowh "excuses" being too busy or your always trying to satisfy others before yourself. We need to think deeply to find the REAL reasons why we do what we do.
One day I saw this little poster on the wall that read, “ I know I'm somebody because God don’t make no junk. I guess I thought of myself as junk, you know when you have very little self worth. That was me!
KNOW THIS ABOUT ME!
I plan on living the rest of my life passionately striving to pull as many people as I can out of that dark pit as I can. That means YOU! I'm going to help you to get healthy physically, emotionally and spiritually especially for those who suffer with binge-eating. If you suffer with unhealthy food habits than I want you to know that there is the solution.
Before I go on with my story I'm going to ask you to START HERE: write down this bible verse, Romans 12:2 | do not conform to the patterns of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. That you may prove that which is good and acceptable and perfect will of God. So, the question is, Is it what you need to conquer meaning is it the junk food and the sugar that you need to conquer? Is it the food itself that you need to conquer or who you need to conquer or do you need to pay attention to what is happening behind the scenes? [stop here and watch video anytime]
We read in the bible in John 10:10 and some of you are familiar with this Bible verse, the thief cometh to steal kill and destroy, but Jesus tells us, “I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly.”
So who's trying to steal your joy, trying to kill you, and who's trying to destroy your life? Satan wants to make you miserable and the problem here is temptation. Ever notice how the diet industry never mentions the word TEMPTATION? Right? We all know that the first sin that happened in the Bible was the temptation of food to Adam and Eve. So, could it be that this is Satan's easiest persuasion to entice you, to be robbed you of a healthy mind and a healthy body? YOUR LIFE? Let's think about this…when we are sad don't we literally feel the life being sucked out of us?
Let’s take a look at the billion-dollar industry. We always about this one, being the diet industry but we will leave that one alone for now. Instead, I'm going to talk a little bit more about the other billion dollar industry, the food giants.
Let look at this bible verse a minute. JOHN 10: 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. We need talk about temptation enough when it comes to dieting and weight loss we only think of the scale and the food plan. What we really need is a NEW PLAN and path to find peace with food.
