is the keto diet healthy for christians | clean low carb keto diet for christians
Is the keto diet healthy for christians and tips for clean low carb cooking keto diet for christians. Learn how I combined my christian faith to the keto diet for health and healing of bacterial overgrowth and sickness. So my choice of going keto was to heal my body and not because I wanted to lose weight although I got to experience many benefits I shared in the live coaching event below. Keto is not for everyone, so if you struggle with health issues it may speed up the healing process.
I slowly started to remove high carb food and eat healthy nutrient rich food that was low in carbs but it took much prayer in faith to God before I felt comfortable cooking keto. So i will tell you that it is challenging the first few months but with faith in God we can do anything when approached with a great attitude that aligns itself with biblical principles.
In the Real Food Real Faith Lifestyle Coaching programs we strive to eat healthy carbs and healthy fats, and avoid refined foods, sugar, GMO foods and go with organic foods as much as possible. We eat a meal with 70% vegetables and lean protein such as raw nuts, seeds, fish, turkey, beef and collagen peptides for healthy youthful looking skin, hair and nails. For myself I do not eat dairy (fatty cheeses) no gluten and no processed food with chemicals. We eat clean keto for healing our bodies and disease prevention like type 2 diabetes and cancer.
You can go into ketosis in a healthy way without going all into the diet 24/7 and learn how to eat healthy low carb and do keto cooking in a balanced way. Keto does not have to be unhealthy or extreme. We as Christians can combine our faith and pay attention to our mood and our attitude and still enjoy real food in a healthy balanced way with a positive mindset all guided by the Holy Spirit.
Here are some interesting facts as to why cooking keto can benefit your health. In a one-week study, overweight people with type 2 diabetes who limited carb intake to 21 or fewer grams per day experienced daily urinary ketone excretion levels that were 27 times higher than their baseline levels Trusted Source
In another study, adults with type 2 diabetes were allowed up to 50 grams of digestible carbs per day, depending on the number of grams that allowed them to maintain blood ketone levels within a target range of 0.5–3.0 mmol/L Trusted Source These carb and ketone ranges are advised for people who want to get into ketosis to promote weight loss, control blood sugar levels or reduce heart disease and cancer risk factors. In contrast, therapeutic ketogenic diets used for epilepsy or as experimental cancer therapy often restrict carbs to fewer than 5% of calories or fewer than 15 grams per day to further drive up ketone levels Trusted Source However, anyone using the keto diet for therapeutic purposes should only do so under the supervision of a medical professional. Your goal should be to lower your net carb intake to under 50 grams per day and combine some light to moderate exercise like a prayer walk, swimming and weight resistance training everyday to feel young and vibrant.
