When we consume a few to many carbohydrate calories we also see a rise of triglyceride levels and your cholesterol levels.
When we are active we need more carbohydrate calories to replenish your carbohydrate we use as fuel. The amount of activities is gonna determine how many carbohydrates we can allow if we are ingesting low carbohydrate calories and your body will need more to not feel tired.
Also overweight people who have more body fat have insulin resistance. That means they can’t clear the blood sugar out of the bloodstream as well. The cells can't pick the glucose up that this not responding to the insulin nearly as well. That’s why blood sugar tends to be higher. So many medical doctors give people drugs to help the body pump out more insulin and increase the sensitivity. It does work, but I'll tell you this, those drugs will bring your blood sugar down into the ideal range.
The ideal blood glucose range is to have a blood sugar level that is at or below 5 mmol per liter or 90 mg/dL If it's above that level your headed for trouble. In addition, most drugs alone will not get high glucose levels their own. That is why physical activity is always encouraged by your doctor, becomes it is vitally important to the long-term management of blood sugar in the body.
Third way your blood sugar can rise even if you doing everything right and exercising but blood glucose levels are still high. So if you are under a lot of stress and your bodies not adapting to that stress very well your adrenal glands start pumpout more cortisol. Cortisol blocks the insulin receptors and the blood sugar can't get in. That will cause a rise in blood glucose levels.
Causes of Insulin Resistance
The exact causes of insulin resistance are not yet fully understood, however, there are some well-known factors that can lead to developing insulin resistance.

Insulin resistance can increase your risk of prediabetes. Prediabetes is a condition when your blood sugar level is higher than normal but not high enough to receive the diagnosis of type 2 diabetes. However, prediabetes increases your risk of type 2 diabetes. Moreover, prediabetes may already be contributing to some of the long-term damage caused by diabetes, including problems with your blood vessels, heart, and kidneys.
Just like insulin resistance, prediabetes often goes without symptoms. Fatigue, weight gain, brain fog, increased hunger and darkened skin may suggest prediabetes. Once you experience classic signs, such as increased thirst, frequent urination, and blurred vision, you may already have diabetes. Therefore it is important to get your blood sugar regularly tested by your doctor, and to make appropriate lifestyle choices to prevent prediabetes and diabetes.
The good news is that if you have prediabetes, it doesn’t mean that you are automatically going to develop type 2 diabetes. Type 2 diabetes is VERY preventable by everyone.
