When life gets in the way we lose sight of our priorities and your health has to be on the top of your list. Too much responsibility is not good because it makes you feel tired and worn out and before you know it everything is out of balance. Your energy runs dry, your emotions are more down than up, your not sleeping the same and of course your eating is less than nutritious and satisfying.
Not taking care of yourself to eat healthy nutritious meals can lead to a number of health issue's like high blood sugar, too much weight on your joints which leads to arthritis and the risk of many forms of cancer. So, let me assure you that with a little effort to think ahead of time and the desire to practice a good routine to commit to taking care of yourself, you'll be setting yourself up for success long term.
Ok, I get it. There are errands to run, appointments to fill, people to meet up with, children and parents to take care of, in addition to and eight hour a day job. So today's question is how do you create a balanced life that brings about a healthy lifestyle that will satisfy your cravings and keeps you feeling confident about your weight loss and healthy eating goals?
For starters you don't have to find excuses for giving up. You don't have to spend more time at the gym to burn calories because you keep gaining weight. You don't have to throw in the towel because you just too darn tired. This is what you have to give up the "DIET MINDSET" the diet starts tomorrow, or the "hey i just have way too much going on".

As Christians we have to look at our thought process. I call excuses "the reasoning's in our mind." We find reasons to not do the right thing. Satan has a way of convincing us to not do the right thing and we feel like we will still feel good at the end of the day, right? Not so. Our mind gets distracted and the world has a way of distracting us too, especially when we get too tired.
I know I've been there and done that. Once I started to see my excuses getting in the way I realized how bad I was hurting myself both physically and mentally.
I would get depressed, have mood swings and my character was not where God wanted me to be. You see Christian weight loss examines the heart, soul and mind and that's what we do in the Real Food ~ Real Faith Lifestyle program.
I needed to make some serious changes, but it all had to be for the right reasons. I knew that if I could make some healthy changes I would feel better especially if I prayed about it. It first starts by admitting our excuses to God then making a conscious effort to plan ahead and not fall into what I call, "accidental eating." I came to the decision that I wasn't gonna put off not being responsible by putting my life at risk and end up feeling like "CRAP". Ok I said it. Can you relate?
START HERE: You don't have to go on a strict diet to lose weight and eat 'healthy‘. It’s time to say goodbye to diets and ditch the all or nothing way of thinking. Quick fixes are the way we think of diets and rarely offer long-lasting or satisfying results. If they were useful, we wouldn't be making the same resolution every January and year in, year out. Not only is yo-yo dieting damaging to our emotions and an unhealthy practice, but we end up gaining and losing weight in a short period of time. Talk about unstable. We lose our way and we develop a negative mindset that snow balls to bigger problems.
Truth is the $60 billion industry has told us that dieting is the answer, but that is a ploy to get you to buy their products like special drinks, oh and how about GOLO and Nutri-System just to name a few. Americans invest about $33 billion each year on weight-loss products, yet nearly two-thirds of Americans are overweight or obese. Clearly, the diet culture isn't working for us.
The way we choose to eat should be a new way of life. We should look at a healthy way of eating like it is medicine for our soul. What we consume will not only nourish our body but we'll also benefit far beyond the reflection in the mirror. A diet should a healthy habit, not a focus on "MY SEXY SHAPE" a routine which becomes a part of our lifestyle, the way we live and a way that pleases our Lord Jesus Christ. In time our habits become our normal way we function from day to day and we realize when we feel satisfied it becomes sustainable and realistic. Let's dive into 5 weight loss tips for the busy christian woman
weight loss tip #1 for the busy woman
There are plenty of circumstances that will take you away from home, and make it more challenging to eat healthy food. Take the time to plan ahead and you can relax knowing that you won’t be derailing your healthy living efforts by consuming empty calories that only make you hungry again a short time later.
If your job requires you to be in the a lot on the road don’t wait until the point that you’re starving to make food choices, as this will almost always lead to bad decisions. Fast food is one of the worst places to end up. Instead, plan ahead, so you don’t have to rely on your willpower to keep you on track. Pack easy to carry healthy food, and keep them in either your cooler bag, use a packed bag or a cooler in your vehicle. This way you always have healthy choices right at your fingertips.
#2 Road trip tip to eat healthy for busy woman
Just because you’re going on a vacation, doesn’t mean you should take a total hiatus from your health goals. You can still live a healthy lifestyle on road trips by packing healthy foods to eat in the car. You can pack a cooler with plenty of frozen water bottles to keep handy and fresh so you have easy access to healthy snacks while on the road. If you’re planning on stopping at rest areas along the way, you can choose to pack a nutritious picnic lunch to eat before you head back out on the next leg of your trip. REMINDER, Stay away from all-you-can eat places.
#3 weight loss tip for the busy woman
Are you one that often goes to airports?
Even though you can’t pack liquids in your carry-on bag, there are still plenty of options for what you can bring. You can pack wrapped whole food snack bars, pre-made salads, nuts, seeds and satisfying fruit like pears or green apples in your personal items bag. With a little creative planning, you can keep your nutrition on track, and save yourself a bundle of money you would have otherwise spent on pricey (and often unhealthy) airport food and snacks.
#4 Make the most with Technology
Almost everyone has a smartphone with them at any given time. You can use this readily available technology to your advantage. Keep your food choices healthy when you’re on the go by utilizing apps that make healthy living easier.
“Healthy Out” is a handy app to keep your nutrition on track when eating out. You can search by tags like meals under 500 calories, paleo, heart healthy, and more. Download the app for iOS or Android to find restaurant meals that fit your needs.
If anyone in your family is gluten intolerant, it may be a challenge to find restaurants that serve gluten-free meals. You can use the app called “Find Me Gluten Free” to help find restaurants with gluten free offerings in your vicinity.
