Today we are going to talk about how to motivate yourself to lose weight and exercise on a daily basis. So, as I had mentioned in mybook “Fixing My Fattening Life” the truth is that 80 percent of our thinking is actually negative. Okay, so what we need to do is to figure out how can we override this negativity and we want to learn how to get motivated to workout more when it starts to hit us in the face.
You know like when we finally learn how to get motivated to lose weight by deciding to make up our mind and commit to working out 5 to 7 days a week and a curve ball comes to make us feel like a failiure time and time again. We feel that excitement and go shopping to buy ourselves some new exercise ware or equipment and we now we feel we are all set to jump with 2 feet and we do. As you know our motivation to lose weight and exercise can start off really good but before you know it, maybe on a day or two later or a week or two later, stress starts to build or our schedule gets messed up.
What now?How do we get ourselves motivated to lose weight and to keep exercising when we find ourselves sabotaging all our efforts? So you are all familiar with such times when we did good Monday through Friday and then Saturday and Sunday come along and our eating habits and lack of movement are horrendous and we end up feeling like we just messed up completely. The key to motivate yourself to lose weight and exercise is to fill your mind with fun and to fill your atmosphere with energy!
Let's reflect a minute. Ever have those rainy days where you decide to clean the house or get a project done in the yard and you CRANK up the tunes? My number one tool is music to motivate myself to exercise to get my feet moving and my blood pumping. Use your iPhone or computer to listen to songs with a good message. Put on music that is FUN, like a song you loved growing up as a kid. Find your youth again to motivate yourself to lose weight and exercise.
