How is Nutrition is Important For Good Health.
What nutrition improves longevity?
The best foods that are good for your health are lots of fresh vegetables, some fruit, nuts, seeds, grains like oats, quinoa, and beans. The top fats that are good for our heart, brain, and blood are avocado, olive oil, and coconut oil.
Eat for nutrition and get rid of all the JUNK food. I love making my own no sugar cookies, and ice cream made with frozen bananas. You can learn to love eating this way too, just gotta love creating in your kitchen. 
Easy ways to make your eating habits healthy: Change anything white on your list to whole grain, oat, and brown. For example try barilla plus pasta, try Joseph flat bread, wild rice OR brown. Increase your fruit/vegetable intake, mostly vegetables.
Typical items on my grocery list: Zucchini Eggplant (eaten baked or raw), bananas (snack), sunflower seeds (salad topper or on their own as a snack), salad veggies (lettuce, spinach, mushrooms, baby corn, black olives, etc.), whole-wheat pastas, hummus, brown rice, ... That's mostly it--The majority of my meals are grain- or vegetable-based.
These days most of the food we consume is incredibly sugar rich, from candy to cake, to soda and ice cream. Sugar is poison and there's no question about it being as addicting as any drug. We find sugar it's in the form of process sugars like High Fructose Corn Syrup which can lead to diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity and heart attack. So fruits are a much healthier (and natural) source of the sugar we love and crave.
But even too much fruit can be bad, so moderation is key!
How Can I Stop Overeating and Food Cravings
Hi, Renee here Author of Fixing my Fatten Life, and creator of crushing the crave. Let’s take a look at how to, “crush the crave”. It is common for most of us to find ourselves overeating from time to time depending on what’s going on in our life. There are different reason’s why we fall into the trap of food cravings especially when we are out and about and we are way over our time limit since eating our last meal. That’s where the old saying comes from, you know, ‘I feel hungry as a horse”. So, let’s examine how we can stop overeating and stop giving into those food cravings that lead us into craving more.
So, let’s say you already had lunch and you're supposed to meet a friend or have a business meeting over a cup of coffee. You step into the café and you are bombarded with the wonderful scent of baked goods. I mean who doesn’t LOVE the scent of a bakery? I just want to follow my nose, don’t you?
Then you have all the donuts and pastries that are being displayed. Everything looks so yummy and you know how much you would love to eat a donut. Now you might be thinking, “Oh man i can just taste how good that donut is, right about now, and suddenly you find yourself with a lot of space in your tummy for that tasty treat.
So, instead of just ordering a cup of coffee as planned, you ended up ordering a donut to go with your cup of coffee. So rather than listen to what our body needs, our senses are now taking control and our sight, smell and taste become stronger than our will to resist the temptation of eating junk foods that are highly in addictive in sugar and calories. This is called “hunger of the senses”, when we are lured into overeating and food cravings by our sight and smell.
I have had many instances when driving in my car and not thinking at all about sugar and sweets. Then as I am sitting at a traffic light i turn my head to see those GIANT donuts on the Dunk’n Donuts tractor trailer truck staring at me in the face. Guess what I saw at that instant? You guessed it, me eating a GIANT donut. The fast food giants know what they are doing, that’s how they got rich. Their only intention is to get us in a place where we don't know how to stop overeating and craving food we become addicted to.
One solution to stop overeating and end craving food is to give ourselves time to think about the consequences that happen after we eat this food. Also, if you find you cannot resist those delicious looking donuts, then by all means don't have meet ups at a coffee shop. Instead meet inside a mall, bookstore, or a park and bring along fruit in the car for snacks. The snacks between meals are ok, because they provide nutrition and fiber to keep you feeling satisfied.
Now let's talk about overeating because of “emotional hunger”. I know for myself I do associate food with happiness and contentment, perhaps because we always eat when we celebrate. I find eating food to be fun, don’t you? So, we have a tendency to fix problems by eating. It’s common for us to think we can “FIX” everything by associating food cravings with happiness and comfort.
Sadly, this happens when down deep we feel the opposite emotions such as stress, anger, self-pity, frustration, loneliness, rejection and boredom. Truth is you and I cannot afford to use food to try to fix what’s bothering us on the inside. We need support and encouragement to deal with the deeper issues. We find we want instant gratification because we want to feel better while in the midst of our pain. This behavior is similar to how some people like to drink alcoholic and do drugs.
Yes it will fix you and I for a very short period of time, but we are done eating, we feel worse. Then we may get mad or worse feel depressed for binge eating. It is very important for us to identify that emotional hunger is NOT located in your stomach. We really don't feel physically hungry, we just love the taste and we sometimes minimize the situation to talk ourselves into it. Do you find yourself thinking of some specific type of comfort food, like cookies, chips, or ice cream after dinner?
For instance you might want to have ice cream or chocolate to satisfy your emotion and it also leads to mindless eating instead of having few pieces of chocolate a few scoops of ice cream you end up eating the entire bar of chocolate and three scoops of ice cream instead of one. As a result don't feel satisfied even when you're full and this often leads to regret, depression, guilt or shame.
So then what is the solution? Find support. Find guidance. Seek a healthy alternative or do something fun! Have any hobbies? Well there’s gotta be something that you always wanted to do. How about going to the library, learning a craft on YouTube.
Let’s talk about the physical addiction to overeating and food cravings. Do you instantly feel deprived when considering going on a diet? Then it is up for us to eat our favorite foods by making them with nutrition to aid our body to be strong instead of making you and I feel sick. It is our responsibility to be open to learning how to bake healthy sugarless treats by getting creative in the kitchen? Here’s a solution: would you like to join me?
Imagine eating cookies, muffins, and cake that has half the calories and gives our body 100% nutrition. Fake food has no benefits, so we just waste our money on making the food giants rich. Truth is, we just waste our time going on a strict diet if we think we can go back to having a few treats every now and then because the sugar really is a “physical addiction”.
The solution is to spend your money and time wisely on food that will taste just as good and if not better and fresher then the junk food that is really nothing but fake food. We know we are worth more than "JUNK" because god doest make junk, he created you to be a happy healthy human being that deserves not to suffer. So let's give ourselves 30-40 minutes in the kitchen creating by baking a batch of cookies for the week that will not make us sick and depressed. The trap of eating addictive foods will stop and the mental depression will slip away caused by the toxic results from refined sugar.

I think I'm addicted to eating ice cream. How can I stop craving ice cream? I just love the multiple flavors and creamy texture. I believe this is one of America's Most Addicting Foods! Truth is we don't have to give up this highly desirable treat in order to lose weight. We just need to find out how we can eat a healthy version by removing the "junk" from this tasty treat.
Being addicted to ice cream can happen to anyone who eats it. Why? Because the real reason why we have a hard time not eating it is because of the high sugar content in ice cream. We know for sure that sugar is like a "drug" causing out blood sugar to spike and when we crash we finding ourselves wanting more.
So how to we make a ice cream that is fat free and sugar free with "NO" chemicals and very low calorie? Try frozen bananas. Let those bananas go ripe on the kitchen counter until you see the peels getting those brown spots. Then peel them and put them in zip lock baggies in a special container. You need at least 4 to 10 ripe frozen bananas. You can also freeze fresh pineapple, strawberries, blueberries, ect..
I have a machine I love using called a "Dessert Bullet". it only takes me 2 minutes to make the healthy version of a delicious ice cream cone that it ok, if you get addicted to it. Frozen fruit is 100% healthy and has many nutritional benefits. TRY ONE FOR YOURSELF!
